The gallery also has work by other artists and jewellers. There will also be a large emphasis on teaching and courses – two for one until the end of January!

This was the opening night last week.

I’m pretty pleased with some of my beads. They are beginning to look a bit better than the Tragic Tribe!

I’m really excited as I have been on a course and am now making my own glass beads! Its called Lampworking, and have set up a studio in my kitchen (don’t tell my landlord!). I absolutely love it and have been going for 2 months now.

Take a look at my studio, and my first ever beads! I call them ‘The Tragic Tribe’ which I think is fairly accurate a description! Though I am getting better and my own beads feature in one of my necklaces :-)

My first effort good enough for a necklace…!

I started making jewellery about 3 years ago. As I progressed my friends started asking me to make them things… and it’s grown from there!

Coloured glass is one of my biggest inspirations – it’s stunning! A lot of my pieces feature it. I recently discovered handmade Lampworked Glass beads – and am in love! I also adore gemstones and silver, so as developed I began using these in a lot of pieces.

Fair Trade and using the best quality materials is really important to me. I also don’t want to make run-of-the-mill pieces, and so each one is a one-off and usually made with handmade Lampwork Glass.
